Raising Standards

Less waste. No gatekeeping. We’re raising standards
without raising prices.

Safe electronics recycling shouldn’t come at a premium. At TechBack, we designed our process to meet the same meticulous protocols used by the biggest players in the industry without the bloated overhead. It’s a smarter, more accessible way to do the right thing.

Best Practices, Not Just Promises

We follow secure handling protocols aligned with the highest certificates in the electronics recycling industry.
Your information is never at risk and your electronics are always processed responsibly.

NAID-Modeled
Data Destruction

Our secure data destruction protocol follows the highest protocols in the industry. From secure business pick-ups transported under documented chain of custody to our controlled-access facility. Recycle knowing every data-bearing drive is logged, then physically destroyed in our industrial hard drive shredder.

HIPAA Compliant
Handling

Every TechBack team member is trained in HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive information. Devices are kept in a secure, access-controlled ITAD area from the moment they arrive at our facility. Only authorized staff can handle them, and all private data is permanently destroyed.

Exclusive
R2 Partnerships

We only work with downstream recyclers who are R2-certified, the highest environmental and ethical standard in the industry. Every component is tracked, dismantled, and processed responsibly. Insuring nothing is ever exported irresponsibly or dumped in a landfill.

Our zero landfill policy means nothing goes
to waste

Doing our part
by raising the bar
(then recycling it)

Less than 20% of the world’s e-waste is recycled properly. The other 80%? It’s landfilled, burned, or shipped overseas to less regulated countries, accounting for 70% of the planets overall toxic waste.

We think that’s unacceptable.

At TechBack, we’re doing our part to make high-standard electronics recycling accessible to every business and community.

Recycling uses only 15% of the energy required for mining raw materials. Saving resources & the planet.

What is R2 Certification
& Why It’s Important

R2 simply stands for Responsible Recycling. Sometimes called R2V3, it’s the leading global standard for electronics recycling that ensures electronics are:

  • Handled safely and transparently

  • Processed by trained professionals

  • Tracked from receipt to final destination

  • Never dumped or exported irresponsibly

At TechBack we work exclusively with R2-certified processing facilities, ensuring your e-waste is disposed with the highest environmental and ethical standards that keeps dangerous materials out of our oceans, air and backyards. In short: you’re doing it right!

When standards raise,

so do forests.

HIPAA-Compliance
every step of the way

Your clients’ privacy is just as important as the planet we’re protecting. Our HIPAA-compliant protocols keep sensitive information secure from the moment we receive your devices to their final destruction.

Full Team
HIPAA Trained

Every single TechBack team member is trained on HIPAA standards so your data is handled correctly at every stage of it's journey.
